Lay Ministers

In addition to the leadership of our clergy and staff, many volunteer lay ministers help to prepare and lead our worship services:

  • Flower Arrangers, who beautify our Sanctuary with seasonal arrangements
  • Altar Guild members, who prepare the altar for the Holy Eucharist
  • Greeters, who hand out bulletins and welcome parishioners and guests
  • Ushers, who take up the offering and present the gifts of bread and wine
  • Acolytes, who carry the cross and torches in procession and serve at the altar
  • Choir Members, who lead the people in sacred song
  • Lectors, who proclaim readings from Scripture
  • Intercessors, who lead the Prayers of the People
  • Lay Eucharistic Ministers, who administer the chalice
  • Lay Eucharistic Visitors, who carry the Sacrament to the sick and homebound
  • Coffee Hour Hosts, who prepare the post-service refreshments
  • We are always looking for more volunteers for the ministries above. For some of the positions there is special training. If you would like to be put on the schedule, contact our Parish Administrator.
